Remember my latest paper regarding the corroded A220 fuselage in Mobile, Alabama? (read here Delta Airbus A220 Corrosion Before Delivery). This aircraft "was supposed" to be the first A220 to be assembled and delivered from Airbus in Mobile.
I wrote "supposed" because it is no longer the case.
The first A220 being assembled in Mobile is MSN (manufacturer serial number) 55069, one A220-300 (aka Bombardier CSeries CS300) for Delta Airlines. The first A220 to be delivered from Mobile has now changed to MSN 55070.
With the recent "foaming" event, as described in my previous article, Airbus came to the conclusion that the whole fuselage/wiring/etc. had to be totally analyzed/reworked.
You will understand that this might be pushing back on the calendar the delivery date of the first A220 aircraft out of Mobile, Alabama. How many weeks or months more? Good question.
