Want to know when Airbus is closing the CSeries acquisition taking effective control of what used to be Bombardier CSeries? Check when the "abc.airbus" internet name will resolve… Yes, "abc" stands for Airbus Canada.
The new e-mail addresses are going to be firstname.lastname@example.org. All CSeries employees will be automatically converted. Mails addressed to the old @aero.bombardier.com address are going to be forwarded for a temporary period of time.
SWISS CS300 MSN 55030 is delivered to its first owner tomorrow.
Korean Air CS300 MSN 55031 delivery will be at the beginning of next week.
SWISS CS300 MSN 55032 to be delivered starting next week as soon as the client is ready for it.
airBaltic CS300 MSN 55034 should have only one more pre-delivery test flight tomorrow.
SWISS CS300 MSN 55033 will be doing its first pre-delivery test flight next week.
After having delivered 0 aircraft in January, 1 in February and 4 in March, and 2 in April,
The first quarter (Jan-Feb-Mar) saw 5 aircraft delivery, an average of (0+1+4)/3 = 1.67 aircraft per month. April had 2 deliveries for a total of 7 for the first 4 months of 2018, a monthly delivery average of (0+1+4+2)/4 = 1.75 CSeries aircraft per month.
Management at Mirabel CSeries factory are still telling Bombardier Inc shareholders "40 CSeries deliveries in 2018".
40 less the 7 aircraft of the first 4 months is 33 left to be delivered from Mai until the end of the year. This means 33 aircraft to be delivered over 8 months, or an average of over 4 aircraft per month, month after month until the end of December 2018.
So, how does it look like for May?
So far in May there has been 1 delivery, a SWISS CS300 (MSN 55029). There is still 9 days to go before June.
We know of 1 more delivery before the end of the month, tomorrow, SWISS MSN 55030.
With the delivery next week of the next Korean Air CS300 (MSN 55031), depending "when" during the week, will it make it before June? Or, will it be the First Airbus CSeries Client? Else it would be SWISS MSN 55032.
Still, that would provide again for a low delivery rate of 1 or 2 aircraft for the month of May meaning that 31 to 33 aircraft will need to be delivered for the rest of the year, over 7 month, or an average of almost 5 aircraft delivery per month from June to December.
Do you trust their 2018 CSeries Delivery Target? Still?
