Multiple Dead in Plane Crash in Kingston

An investigation continues into the crash of a small aircraft into a field between Highway 401 and Creekford Rd, in the west end of Kingston, on Wednesday night.
The first reports of an aircraft in distress were made to Kingston Police shortly after 5 p.m. after observers in the vicinity of the PetroCan gas station on Gardiners Rd and Centennial Dr saw and heard a small airplane appear to experience engine trouble and crash.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has confirmed the aircraft is a small Piper PA-32 airplane, typically capable of carrying 5 to 6 occupants, depending on airplane configuration, as well as occupant and cargo weight/balance factors.
