Ordered in December 2016 from Canadian manufacturer Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, the new Bombardier Q400 NextGen of the Luxair Luxembourg Airlines fleet, registered LX-LQJ, left Toronto on Wednesday 2 August 2017 at 15:12 (UTC).
It made two stops in Goose Bay, Canada and Reykjavik, Iceland before it landed in Luxembourg on Thursday 3 August 2017 at 18:05 (UTC). Pending its commissioning in September (initially foreseen for October), the latest adaptations to Luxair standards will be carried out by LuxairTechnics staff here in Luxembourg.
Thanks to this additional aircraft in its fleet and consequently increased capacities, Luxair is expanding its commercial offering by optimizing its flight frequencies and offering its customers a more complete and elaborate service.
On July 29, 2017, there it is as C-FUOC (serial number 4562) landing on 33 at Toronto/Downsview airport YZD after performing a pre-delivery test flight as BBA9. It will soon be operating with Luxair S.A. as LX-LQJ. Sylvain Faust. Photo: Frederick K. Larkin
