Imagining what my life could’ve been if I followed through with med school instead of choosing to travel, honestly, makes me laugh. • • • • • A lot of young people feel pressure to follow the path that has been laid out before them, and have been told that higher education is the only key to success. While I do think education is vital, and I have my degree, here’s a friendly reminder that success isn’t a cut and dry thing. It comes in different shapes and sizes, different packaging, and different means all depending on YOU and YOUR goals. • • • • • My biggest successes have come from my travels, and even though I am grateful for the education I received and the privileges I have been given, I would never claim that my schooling has taught me the most important things I know. My job as a flight attendant is challenging in inventive ways, and the travel benefits I receive open doors that I couldn’t dream of opening on my own accord. • • • • • I’ve been to 4 countries on 3 continents in the last 6 months. My next big adventure begins in 11 days. I wouldn’t trade this life for the world, and I certainly wouldn’t trade it for ned school. 😋
