CSeries production is going nowhere.
Remember, during the month of September and October Bombardier "managed" to deliver what, 2 CSeries total? Now in November, only 1 more delivery is expected, it should be within the next 7 days, MSN 55015 to SWISS (client acceptance in a few days), a tempo of 1 per month. This delivery will be over 6 weeks after the aircraft did its first pre-delivery inspection flight.
KAL has left the building, and the country… Too cold for them maybe, but you won't see Korean Air back at Mirabel for taking possession of their CSeries before next year or maybe if Santa tells them to come and get their first gift by Christmas or else no more?
What changed again? Changes at Mirabel Bombardier CSeries facility are never for the best from what we can see. And no, Bombardier management just can't put all this on Pratt & Whitney shoulders like many do believe. Certainly there's some huge supply chain issues with "many" suppliers but not to a point where only 1 CSeries is delivered per month. There's more...
Why are the customers not taking delivery? SWISS has 2 CSeries in the snow… MSN 50018 and 50019 (both CS100). Korean Air has 2 also, MSN 55018 and MSN 55019, painted and all (both CS300), one of them already in the snow, the other one should be soon I suppose?
Bombardier has more "in the snow"? Oh yes… CSeries MSN 50007, 50008, 50009 (all CS100) and the first CSeries CBJ (CSeries Business Jet) VVIP MSN 55017 (CS300, for an undisclosed Canadian client I've heard, more on this in another article soon, why don't you register to Fliegerfaust Free Newsletter while you're here, did I mention, it is FREE?).
If they deliver 3 more in 2017 I, and many, will be an amazingly surprised! I will happily wash the exterior of that last CSeries delivered in 2017 if so if I can be part of the ferry flight! ;-)
Dear investors (Quebec people) and other Bombardier shareholders (investment world, Bay Street, Wall Street…), why is the management of the company you own at 87% (13% is own by Bombardier/Beaudoin jointly of Bombardier Inc. - read about this here) not telling you what the reality is, why are they telling you they are going to deliver much more CSeries than they are in reality? Still today, they won't reach the again recently revised down CSeries target… Why are they telling you unreliable information? I see 2 simple Options:
- 1-They just don't know what is going on with the CSeries production.
- 2-They are lying to you.
You tell me… (Leave your comment at the bottom… If the "Show Comments" section don't show, click the article title or image at the top of this article and at the bottom you should see a "Show Comments" section where you can do so).
In both cases I think something needs to be done. Was it letting it go to Airbus?
I'm hearing that the dear workers at the Mirabel factory are tremendously demoralized. They are short on staff, short on resources, increased workload and on the top of that they won't get their 2017 bonuses since the management set those erroneous targets way too higher, where it could never be reached. Demoralized to say the least...
Guess what, who is going to get their fat and large bonuses for capitulating and giving at least 50% of the CSeries away? They are at the headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, Rene-Levesque Street?
Oh, before I stop, where will the first 2 Delta CSeries currently being assemble go? (MSN 50020 and MSN 50021 CS100) Ah yes! The snow will keep them frozen for a while…
