Bombardier wins contracts for Chengdu and Chongqing metro lines in China

Bombardier NUG Propulsion System (BNP) has secured two contracts worth approximately CNY531m ($79m) from Chinese New United Group (NUG) to provide MITRAC propulsion and control equipment for the Chengdu Metro Line 6 and Chongqing Metro Line 4 projects.
Bombardier owns 50% of the shares in its Chinese joint venture BNP, which was established in 2003 and is jointly controlled by the company and NUG.
Bombardier China president Jianwei Zhang said: "We are very happy to be selected by Chengdu and Chongqing customers to equip their local metro cars with MITRAC propulsion equipment and continuously power the rapid development of their urban mass transit systems with our proven and reliable technology."
