- Those who still frequent airports will soon be forced to wear a face mask, under penalty of being refused travel, announces Transport Minister Marc Garneau
All air passengers will have to wear a non-medical mask or face cover to cover their nose and mouth during the trip from April 20 at noon, it was said in a press release on Friday.
In particular, when traveling by air, travelers will be asked to cover their nose and mouth at Canadian airport checkpoints and when screening officers cannot maintain a distance of two meters between them and the traveler.
"Air passengers on all flights departing from or arriving at a Canadian airport must also show that they have the necessary non-medical mask or face cover at the time of boarding, otherwise they will not be allowed to continue their journey, "said the government.
