Damages to one of FTV1 composite wings, caused by the infamous engine incident while it was being worked on by Pratt & Whitney staff, is now "Fully Repaired" and with great success from what I can hear at the Pub!
It was a great team work and all went as it was expected at the time the repairs started.
Repairs completed, and with engines installed… Did I say that?FTV1 should be returning to flight in 2 weeks, before FTV3 it maybe… or maybe not.
"Hi Y'all!!!" Yes, this remembers me the great years I live in Austin, Texas… Loved it! FTV4 arrived this afternoon at Dallas Fort Worth international airport at 18:21z (14:21 Montreal time). But where did it go? Who could want to take a very close look at it? Who could Bombardier want to demo it very closely? What airline base at Dallas Fort Worth airport could it be? Eum… I know American Airlines is already a very good Bombardier customer with all those CRJ900 NextGen still being built and delivered as we speak, I flew on one of them to and from Farnborough in July, and it was #918. Could it be them? American Airlines?? By elimination, who else would make sense? This story is getting very interesting! If you have a better bet than mine please let me know!
Good evening and good luck!
