**UPDATE: 9:26 - September 25, 2017 - Quebec, Montreal
Global FTV4 First Flight is now scheduled for Wednesday, September 27 **
Many are asking about the current activities at Mirabel, what's going on, what is the next CSeries to be delivered, which client, when… After consulting some of my crystal balls, walking the total airport area from one end to the other around 500 times, sending 100 drones, analyzing the air, etc... (you get the picture) here's what I got…
MSN 55014 CS300 SWISS. Expect client acceptance flight Monday or Tuesday.
MSN 55013 CS300 SWISS. Same as for 55014 but about a week later. Yes, 55014 should be delivered before 55013, it happens.
MSN 55018 CS300 Korean Air First CSeries. It will be doing its First Flight Sunday, Monday or Tuesday if you ask me. Stay tuned for some special Korean Air visitors at Mirabel CSeries assembly facilities around October 10. I got more about KAL… read lower.
MSN 55015 CS300 SWISS. First engine run this week-end with its first flight next week.
MSN 55019 CS300 Korean Air. 2nd KAL CSeries, Is out of the paint shop just now.
MSN 55020 CS300. This one should be out of the paint shop this week-end. Painted as? Do you know? (the quiz portion of the article). ok ok, you win, it is SWISS.
MSN 55026 CS300. This is interesting. From the current activities going on around this one it seems that KAL has sold or did exchange this delivery slot/aircraft to another client. What is interesting in this? The client is neither SWISS nor airBaltic and it will have no interior installed at Mirabel. From my experience, when an aircraft leave "without interior", If that's the case, it will receive a "special interior" elsewhere; this could be the First CSeries Business Jet (CBJ), a CS300. That's NEWS if so... Am I right, am I wrong? No!!! It can't be the Government of Canada ordering 2 CS300? Oh, and It seems that MSN 55050 will have the same faith.
Avianor has completed its interior installation work with MSN 55016 CS300 airBaltic and will be returned (towed) to Bombardier. Avianor will receive MSN 55017 CS300 KAL in exchange to complete its interior too.
As mentioned earlier, Bombardier will be visiting many airlines with its CSeries CS300 FTV8 (MSN 55002) in the weeks to follow. Many airlines from many countries are awaiting its arrival. Japan, China, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia… for a more information visit this page…
It seems that the delivery of MSN 50006 CS100 (aka P1) has been push down to 2019. Delivery of 50007, 50008 and 50009 (all CS100 early production) to 2018 still.
I'm still expecting to see the 4th Global 7000 (FTV4) to be doing its first flight on Monday, September 25, from Downsview Airport in Toronto, where are located Bombardier Global (and Q400) assembly lines.
What's special about this 4th Global 7000 aircraft is that it's the first one with a complete interior, the first that can be used to show all of its beauty and comfort! Expect to see this very special Global 7000 aircraft of 121 feet long to be at Las Vegas NBAA next month. A First!!! Real Business Jet Lovers, NBAA Vegas would be the place to be next month!
Have a great week-end!
