After having delivered 0 aircraft in January, 1 in February and 4 in March, and one so far in April, only one more CSeries "might" be delivered before the end of April.
Next SWISS Bombardier CS300 (Airbus A230?) MSN 55027 is the one that could be delivered before the end of the month. SWISS will be doing their acceptance flight later today or tomorrow morning, April 27, 2018, weather depending.
SWISS MSN 55030 should be doing its first pre-delivery flight within next 48 hours.
**Update: It is currently doing its first pre-delivery flight. It left Mirabel airport at 10:00am local (14:00 UTC), April 27, 2018 as announced yesterday on Fliegerfaust. You can follow it live.
If all is fine and SWISS can make the payment transfer before the end of the month the aircraft will then be owned by the airline and considered "delivered". Delivery flight is usually within a few hours.
Looking back at my expectation of a 3.5 delivery per month average for April, May and June, where does that leave me?
Assuming 2 in April, could it be 4 in May and again 4 in June for a quarter delivery average of 3.33 per month? It could well be 1 in April, 3 in May and 3 in June for a 2.33 aircraft per month?
We have to remember, the first quarter (Jan-Feb-Mar) saw an average of (0+1+4)/3 = 1.67 aircraft per month.
Management at Mirabel CSeries factory are still saying "40 CSeries deliveries in 2018". To be conservative (and realist), using the total deliveries so far (1 for April), we have 6 CSeries aircraft that have been delivered in the first 4 months of the year. 40 minus 6 is 34 left to be delivered.
34 aircraft is what is left to be delivered over the next 8 months. 34 aircraft in 8 months is 4.25 aircraft per month, 4 deliveries month after month, each month, starting next week in May!
Almost One Aircraft per Week (4 per month)
Honestly, how many aircraft per month do you really think the CSeries factory in Mirabel, with no investment, no more space created by Bombardier, no more employee, how many more per month can it produce? Were there any concrete investments in the Mirabel facility? No… sorry, the $ went to Mobile, Alabama Airbus new CSeries factory and don't forget about what I told you about Wichita, Kansas…( Read in English) (Lire en Français)
More jobs in the US created by a Canadian company partially using the Quebec taxpayer's money, Canadian taxpayer's grants motivated by a European aerospace firm. Trump is a God!
How many CSeries jobs were created in Canada since the $1300 million investment made by the Government of Canada?
