How often do you finish a workout and don’t take time to cool down properly because you’re rushing off? I see people rushing out of my classes during the cool down and the stretch as I guess they think it’s pointless?! 🤷🏼♀️ . Well I’m pretty sure I’ve learnt the hard way because I haven’t been stretching as much as I used to and as a result have developed some niggling pains which could turn out to be an injury 😢 As well as cooling down effectively and dropping your heart rate slowly so to avoid potential health risks, cooling down and stretching lengthens the muscles that you have worked and tightened throughout the workout 👍🏻 Have a think about how much you take time out of your week to have a good stretch - I know I’m going to be factoring in a lot more time for it from now on! 🙌🏻
