A code assigned by air traffic controllers to identify an aircraft uniquely in a flight information region (FIR). This allows easy identification of aircraft on radar. As you can see there are 5 modes - STBY : does not transmit - ALT RPTG OFF : operates without altitude reporting. - XPNDR : operates with altitude reporting (we use this normally on ground while taxing) - TA ONLY : enables the display of traffic advisory targets - TA/RA : enables the display of traffic advisory targets and gives you RA resolution advisory (normal operating mode in flight) Pd: this is a boomerang I made so I wasnt playing with it 😊. Any questions ?
