Source: @aastews If you’ve ever had the opportunity to work one of these Honor Flights for our military veterans, then you will relate to the feeling @toddphillipsphotography expresses in his post... “ Last night I was fortunate and honored to be able to fly an honor flight from DCA-MWA.

Aboard were veterans from Vietnam, Korea, and WWII, including one WWII vet Giles who is 105 years old! The veterans were flown to DCA for the day where they toured the memorials and were met with people in DC who hugged and thanked them. One chaperone said the guys were shocked with all the love from people just on the street. It just shows you that in today’s environment there are still wonderful people everywhere and ugliness is not the norm. When we returned the vets to Marion, Illinois they were met with a local celebration cheering their return with chants of “USA, USA, USA! I shook as many hands as I could adding a sincere “thank you sir! “to each. These brave heroes while only gone a day this time, were met with the loving joyous return home they so deserve.” Thanks again for sharing this experience with me, @toddphillipsphotography ...I’msure they appreciated the ride you gave them as much as they blessed you that day!
