A US Air Force airplane crashed in Afghanistan in Taliban territory few hours ago.
According to the information currently available it seems to be a E-11A BACN aircraft, a specialized military communication aircraft made by Northrop Grumman using a Bombardier Global business jet. Those aircraft hold the record of the most number of total hours flown for a Bombardier Global aircraft .
The BACN (Battlefield Airborne Communications Node) by Northrop Grumman, selected the Bombardier Global aircraft due to its high service ceiling (up to 51,000 ft) and flight duration (up to 12 hours) and multiple electricity sources.
The E-11A first flight was on November 2005 at Miramar, San Diego, California and selected for deployment soon after.
Total crew should be between 2 to 6.
Why i think this: there are 4 E-11A in service. 11-9001,9355,9558 and 9506. The only one that seems similar is 11-9558. Although the tail does look like 350, that does not exist and could just be the bottom of the 8 cut off. Also only 9358 and 9001 have the USAF insignia
